Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of VedAvatar (www.vedavatar.com and the VedAvatar web app; "we", "us"). By creating an account or using VedAvatar you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy.
1. Our services
VedAvatar offers Vedic astrology (Kundali, Kundali matching, daily horoscope, Shubh Muhurat), numerology (including name correction and child naming), palmistry, face reading, graphology, past-life insights, compatibility readings, "Ask Guru" chat about your reading, and live voice consultations with AI astrologer personas.
Planetary positions, dashas, Panchang and numbers are calculated by our software from your birth details. Explanations are written by artificial intelligence (AI) from those calculations.
2. Guidance, not certainty
Astrology and the related sciences describe tendencies, not certainties. Readings are for spiritual and personal reflection.
They are not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal, financial or other professional advice. Do not make decisions about health, money, law or safety on the basis of a reading alone. AI can make mistakes, and no outcome is guaranteed.

3. AI astrologers are AI
The gurus and astrologers you chat or talk with on VedAvatar (for example Acharya Krishnamurti, Swami Ji or Ask Guru) are AI personas, not human astrologers.
4. Your account
- You must be 18 or older to use VedAvatar.
- Give accurate details and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Add another person's birth details or photos only with their permission, or as their parent or guardian.
5. Prices, wallet and plans
- Prices are listed in Indian Rupees on our Pricing page. Payments are processed securely by our payment partner; we never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
- Your VedAvatar wallet pays for pay-as-you-go readings and live calls. Wallet balance is not cash: it cannot be withdrawn or transferred.
- Bonus credit (the welcome credit, referral credit, a plan's extra credit on top-ups, or credit from a code) is part of your wallet balance and is spent like the rest of it, but it is never refunded or paid out. The welcome credit is given once per email address or phone number. Codes from VedAvatar are personal offers that work once per account; we may change or end them at any time, and we may remove bonus credit obtained by misuse, such as several accounts for one person.
- Referral credit: you can share your personal invitation link from My Account. When someone who joined through your link buys their first plan (Shubh or higher), you and that person each receive the referral credit shown on the invitation card as wallet credit. It is given once per new member, at most 20 times a month to the member who invited, and not for inviting yourself. We may change or end the referral offer at any time; credit already given stays in the wallet.
- Plans (Shubh, Blessed, Astrologer) are one-time payments for 30 days and do not renew automatically. Upgrading credits the unused value of your current plan.
- Prices may change for future purchases; a period you have already paid for is not affected.
- Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use VedAvatar for anything unlawful, abusive or harmful. Do not try to break or test our security, scrape or overload the service, reverse engineer it, or manipulate the AI to reveal its instructions or behave against these Terms. Do not upload photos of other people without their consent.
7. Content and intellectual property
VedAvatar, its design, software and text belong to us or our licensors. Your readings are for your personal use. You keep the rights to what you upload and allow us to process it only to provide the service and to keep the measurements described in section 11.
8. Availability and liability
We work to keep VedAvatar available and accurate, but features can change and the service can be interrupted. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you make on the basis of a reading or for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
9. Suspension, changes and law
- You can ask us to delete your account at any time by writing to support.vedavatar@gmail.com. We may suspend accounts that break these Terms.
- We may update these Terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use VedAvatar means you accept the update.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at the place of our registered office have jurisdiction, without limiting your rights under consumer protection law.
10. Our astrological ethics
- Tendencies, not decrees: a chart shows tendencies of past karma; it never overrides human effort, Dharma and Purushartha.
- Not a substitute for professionals: readings are never medical, psychiatric, financial or legal advice.
- Calculated, not invented: planetary degrees, dasha periods and other values come from our calculation engine; the AI explains them and is instructed never to invent them.
11. Photos you add
- Add a photo of a face, palm, fingertip, handwriting or signature only if it is your own, or the person in it has agreed (or you are their parent or guardian). Whoever adds a photo is responsible for having that consent. Do not add ID documents, cheques or another person's signature.
- Before your first photo the app asks you to confirm this and to accept these Terms; it asks once on each device. A picture that looks like a screenshot gets a reminder; it is not refused.
- A photo is used only to make that reading and its PDF report. It is not saved to our database, our servers or your reading history. The copy the app holds for the visit goes when you start a new reading, sign out or close the app. A PDF you save or share is your own copy.
- We keep what was measured from the photo (numbers such as face or palm proportions and the result of the photo check), never the photo itself. These numbers stay with your reading, show what it rests on, and help us improve our measurements and reading rules, as the Privacy Policy explains.
- Using someone else's photo, handwriting or signature without their consent may be against the law and can lead to the account being closed.
12. Your consent
When you create a VedAvatar account you tick "I accept". By ticking it you give the consent below. We record it with your account, together with the date, the time and the version of this text, and you can read it again in our Terms of Service at any time. If you do not accept, no account is created.
Age and agreements. You confirm that you are 18 years of age or older, and that you have read and accept our Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy and our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
What you allow us to use. You consent to VedAvatar collecting and processing the following personal data for the purpose of operating the platform: creating and running your account, calculating charts and numbers, preparing your readings and reports, live consultations, your wallet and plans, customer support, and keeping the service and its offers secure:
- Account and contact details: your name, your email address and, if you choose to give it, your mobile number.
- Birth details (name, gender, and date, time and place of birth) of yourself and of any person you add. You confirm that you add another person's details only with that person's permission, or as their parent or guardian.
- Photos you choose to add (a face, a palm or fingertip, handwriting or a signature). A photo is used only to prepare that reading and its PDF report and is then deleted; we keep only the measurements taken from it, never the image, as section 11 of the Terms of Service and section 9 of the Privacy Policy describe. Before your first photo the app also asks you to confirm that the photo is your own or is used with the consent of the person in it.
- Your questions, your conversations with Ask Guru and our AI astrologers, and the readings and reports prepared for you.
- Payment records: amounts, plans, wallet transactions and payment references. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by our payment partner and are never stored by us.
- Security information: a coded form of a random identifier kept in your browser and of the network address from which you create your account, used to protect accounts and to prevent misuse of offers such as the welcome credit. We do not store the identifier or the address themselves.
Service providers. You consent to this data being processed, only to the extent each one needs it for its task, by the service providers that help us run VedAvatar, such as cloud hosting and storage, sign-in, AI processing, payments and email delivery, under contractual duties of confidentiality and data protection. Some of them may store or process data outside India. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your photos, readings or birth details to train AI models.
Emails. You agree to receive the emails needed to run your account, such as verification codes, password-reset links, payment receipts and important notices about your account or our terms. Offers and newsletters are sent only if you separately tick the box to receive them, and each such email has a link to stop them.
Mobile number. If you give a mobile number, we use it only to contact you about your account or about a request you made. It is not verified and is not used to sign in. We will not send you promotional messages by text message or messaging apps unless you separately agree to receive them.
Withdrawing consent. Your consent is voluntary. You may withdraw it, or ask us to access, correct or erase your personal data, at any time by writing to support.vedavatar@gmail.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it. Because the service cannot be provided without this data, withdrawing consent will lead to your account being closed; payment records that Indian tax and accounting laws require us to keep are retained for the period those laws require.
This consent is given under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If this statement, the Terms of Service or the Privacy Policy change in substance, we will ask for your consent again.
